Detangle – MVP

Overview

Detangle started as a weekend project by Josh, turning into our main focus after Maybe closed.

In trying to find product-market fit, Detangle took on many different forms. It went from a browser extension that summarized any type of file, to a B2B templatized prompting tool teams would use to run repetitive queries such as summarizing documents or extracting information from contracts.

The scope later expanded to include more of a chat experience where querying was more freeform.

After multiple rounds of customer feedback which revealed privacy concerns in uploading sensitive company data, we ultimately pivoted Detangle to an API that developers would use in their apps.

My role as the sole designer in Detangle was to design multiple 0 -> 1 versions of the product, as well as designing and building the marketing site in Framer.
